Media Advisory – Special Ceremonial Sitting of the Constitutional Court in Honour of Chief Justice R M M Zondo

A Special Ceremonial Session of the Constitutional Court to mark the retirement of the Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa, Chief Justice R M M Zondo, will take place at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday, 21 August 2024 at 10am.

Deputy Chief Justice M M L Maya, Justices of the Constitutional Court, Judicial Officers as well as representatives the Executive, Parliament and the legal profession will participate in this event. The session will be open to the media.

Members of the media interested in attending the Ceremonial Court Sitting in honour of Chief Justice R M M Zondo are requested to submit requests for accreditation by submitting their details using the template provided here ‒ https://www.judiciary.org.za/index.php/news/media-accreditation ‒ to Ms Lusanda Ntuli at LNtuli@judiciary.org.za, by no later than 16h00 on Friday, 16 August 2024. Personal information will be processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (Act No. 4 of 2013).

A limited number of seats will be allocated to the media inside the court room. Members of the media and the public are encouraged to follow the proceedings remotely via the live streaming platform as follows: Judiciary RSA YouTube Channel.
