The public interviews of the shortlisted nominees for the position of Chief Justice of South Africa, took place from 1 – 4 February 2022.
Four exceptional candidates were interviewed: Constitutional Court Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, President of the Supreme Court of Appeals Mandisa Maya, Gauteng Judge President Dunstan Mlambo, and Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. One candidate per day.
