JUDICIAL CONDUCT TRIBUNAL TO CONDUCT HEARING ON THE COMPLAINTS LODGED BY TEN JUDGES OF THE WESTERN CAPE DIVISION OF THE HIGH COURT AND THE CAPE BAR COUNCIL AGAINST JUDGE M K PARKER OF THE WESTERN CAPE DIVISION OF THE HIGH COURT
The media is advised that the Judicial Conduct Tribunal (Tribunal) comprising Judge B M Ngoepe, retired Judge-President of the Gauteng Division of the High Court, designated in terms of section 22(1)(a)(b) of the Judicial Service Commission Act, 1994 as the Tribunal President, and Judge P Boruchowitz, retired Judge of the Gauteng Division of the High Court and Ms D Mthimunye, as a non-judicial member of the Tribunal will convene for the hearing of the complaints lodged by Ten Judges of the Western Cape Division of the High Court and the Cape Bar Council against Judge M K Parker.
The hearing will take place as follows:
- Dates: 24-28 February 2025
- Venue: Virtual
- Time: 10h00
The Tribunal will conduct proceedings virtually. A Zoom link will be provided upon request, members of the media should send a request, with their particulars, to OCJ-Communication@judiciary.org.za. Requests to broadcast the hearings must be made in writing, by no later than 14h00, 21 February 2025.
