MEDIA ADVISORY

JUDICIAL SERVICE COMMISSION INTERVIEWS, 5 – 13 OCTOBER 2026

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) will interview candidates nominated for positions in the various Superior Courts in Sandton from 5 to 13 October 2026.

Members of the media interested in covering the proceedings are requested to submit their accreditation requests by completing the online OCJ Accreditation Template found here by no later than 14h00 on Thursday, 1 October 2026. Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (Act No. 4 of 2013).

Members of the media and the public are encouraged to follow the proceedings remotely via the live-streaming platform at the Judiciary RSA YouTube Channel.

The interviews will take place as follows:

Dates: 5 and 6 October 2026
Venue: The Capital on the Park, 101 Katherine Street, Sandown, Sandton
Time: From 11h30 on 5 October 2026, and 09h00 on 6 October 2026

Dates: 7-13 October 2026
Venue: @Sandton Hotel, Benmore, 2nd Floor
Time: 09h00 daily

Members of the media are requested to arrive timeously to accommodate any setup requirements.

BROADCAST ARRANGEMENTS

Media broadcasters are informed that there will be a live stream of the interviews via the Judiciary YouTube Channel. Should broadcasters seek to have their cameras in the venue, please contact Ms Lusanda D. Ntuli, mediaenquiries@judiciary.org.za, by no later than 17h00, Thursday, 1 October 2026.

PROCEDURES TO BE AWARE OF:

  1. It is imperative that all media apply for accreditation prior to the proceedings. Please use the online template provided at this link.

In addition, please provide letters from Editor’s confirming your affiliation with the organisation you are reporting for, a document upload option will be available at the bottom of the page link. Consolidate documents as only one upload per application is possible.

  1. To ensure the safety of all attendees, members of the media are requested to follow all security procedures as will be communicated by the JSC staff.
  2. Members of the public who wish to attend should send a request to: SMthombeni@judiciary.org.za
